2024 - Test Plot
Reference for academia and investors
In order to prove the functionality of the concept, it is envisaged to start in 2024 with a reference plot of 40 ha. This plot serves as a showcase for the project model and is necessary for the scientific verification of plant growth and carbon sequestration assumptions that are made. Multiple species will be planted to identify the optimal growth parameters under local conditions. At the same time, this facility will serve as a training facility for the workers being employed in the project.
Even at this stage, utilizable products like food crops, vegetable oil and carbon removal certificates (approximately up to 4,500 t CO2/year) are being produced and permanent jobs are created.
